Jessie Nelson Studio is delighted to introduce the KOI TABLE, a collaborative project with the renowned tattoo artist Chris Garver of Five Points Tattoo. This marks Garver's inaugural—and thus far exclusive—venture into the art of pyrography. The piece showcases koi designs meticulously burned by hand into the live-edge of spalted maple. With Nelson's distinctive concrete elements and Garver's graceful koi, the KOI TABLE reflects on the intersection of hard and soft design principles. A subtle reference to Japanese joinery techniques renders this one-of-a-kind piece both an homage to traditional craftsmanship and a celebration of creativity stemming from novel collaborations.
